Daisy Coding Basics Badge Workbook

For this meeting I set up the booklet so that you do not need a computer. However, if you're able, I've added some online resources to supplement the booklet.
One of the best coding resources for kids is Code.org. I recommend introducing the kids to this site, as the fun and engaging lessons will get them hooked on coding!
Pages 1-2: Algorithms
If you want to supplement this with hands-on activities, have the girls go to Code.org and play lessons 1, 2, and 3. These will get the girls familiar with block coding and understanding algorithms.
Pages 4-6
If you want to add more information about our Famous Female Computer Scientists, you can show a short video about each of the 4 women I mention in the workbook. Either watch beforehand to add extra facts about these great women, or play one or more of them for the troop.
