Brownie Me Time Badge Workbook

Download the workbook and use the resources below to complete this badge!
Me Time is the new 2025 Brownie badge that replaced My Best Self. It's part of Girl Scouts' body-confidence set, alongside Daisy Fun with Movement and Junior Uniquely Us.
When I run it, I talk about food as energy and movement as fun. I stay away from "good food / bad food," dieting or weight. Some girls may have food allergies, limited food at home, or physical limits, so keep every activity about how things make them feel.
To earn the badge, girls complete at least one activity for each step. This booklet covers all five.
Cover
Kick things off by asking, "What does it mean to take care of yourself?" Write the girls' answers on a big sheet of paper and come back to it at the end of the badge.
Page 1: Step 1, Fuel Yourself for Fun
Girls draw a snack that gives them energy for an activity they love. Talk about how some foods give energy that lasts a short time and others give energy that lasts longer. Fruit, crackers with cheese and yogurt are good examples. If you can, share a simple snack together, and check for allergies first!
Page 2: Step 1, Fuel Yourself for Fun
A fuel chart for one day. This works well as a take-home page that families fill in together. At the next meeting, ask: "When did you have the most energy? When did you feel tired?" Remind girls that water is fuel too.
Page 3: Step 2, Move to Feel Great
Each girl picks 3 moves from the movement menu and does each one 10 times. Let girls swap burpees or push-ups for an easier move like arm circles. Put on music and turn it into a dance party!
Page 4: Step 2, Move to Feel Great
Right after moving, girls circle 3 words for how they feel and answer the questions. Talk about how moving can change your mood, not just your body.
Page 5: Step 3, Learn About Body Language
Act out each body-language card: arms crossed, a big smile, looking down, and bouncing up and down. Girls guess the feeling, then share something kind they could say or do. For an extra game, play "feelings charades" with no words allowed.
Page 6: Step 4, Explore the World
Places to explore can be near (a park, the library, a new trail) or far (another country). Talk about how being outside and being curious helps us feel calm and happy. If you can, take a short walk outside together and look for five new things.
Page 7: Step 5, Try Something New
Each girl circles one new thing she'll try and draws herself doing it. At the next meeting, ask how it went. Celebrate the trying, not just the succeeding!
