Read a book to your troop. Here are some great suggestions to cover the topic of being Responsible for What I Say and Do. After watching, ask the girls to draw a picture of how the character was being courageous and strong. Here are some question prompts if the girls get stuck:
- Were any characters not taking responsibility for their actions? What happened?
- Did anyone get in trouble and blame others?
This page helps the kids identify between showing responsibility and not showing responsibility. Have the girls circle the pictures that show responsibility. Talk about them and why the person is showing responsibility in each picture.
Act out different ways to show responsibility at home throughout the day. On this page are a few examples, such as making your bed, helping clean, or doing your homework.
Lastly, girls will write down how they will work on acting responsibly in their day to day.
